I Am Moving Off Substack
Hey everyone,
I am not going to pursue Substack any longer.
However, I have created a website:

I have started with a daily news email - I will scale it in time to incorporate more content, including podcasts, contributors and the like.
I do intend to make this the most dominant media business in South Africa and will pour all my efforts into doing so.

I bookmarked your site. I have a similar dilemma. I have my own site and would prefer that people subscribe there, but I continue to copy my meme posts to Substack because I do pick up new readers that way.
I wouldn't use Substack except that they allow me to download the list my subscribers' email addresses. This is a kind of guarantee that they can't censor me, because I could just go direct via email if they do that.
I don't bother with Twitter anymore because they've booted me off four times now for politically incorrect memes, including twice under Elon, and I have no way of re-establishing contact with my readers from Twitter. Too much risk.
